J.J. Clemence: Republican Candidate for Tax Assessor
J.J. Clemence is a proven conservative leader in Fort Bend County with over a decade of financial and business experience. Her long record of community service to Fort Bend County and extensive financial experience make her the most qualified candidate for Fort Bend County Tax Assessor.
J.J. holds the bachelor degrees in finance and accounting, and the master degree of MBA from Baker University in Kansas. A certified financial auditor, J.J. has held numerous positions in finance and business strategy divisions at Baker Hughes, Spectra and Enbridge. As a tax assessor, J.J. brings more than a decade of financial, operation and fraud auditing experience to the service of Fort Bend County.
J.J. is a Community Outreach Director for U.S. Congressman Pete Olson and Governor Greg Abbott’s Vice Chair on the Texas Real Estate Research and Advisory Committee. She is also a Board Member for the Fort Bend Independent School District Bond Committee and Innovation Committee, the Treasurer and Finance Chairman for the Fort Bend County GOP, the Precinct Chair for Precinct 4044, and the Vice President for Texas Asian Republican Club.

As an immigrant to America, J.J. believes strongly in giving back to our nation and has sought to do so by volunteering in the community. She understands and wants to share the American dream(more in the article of Absolutely Brazos Community Magazine). She has served as Public Relations Director for the Fort Bend County Global Initiative. J.J. also regularly volunteers with programs of United Way, Junior Achievement, and Collaborative for Children. She has served in various leadership positions in Asian American groups including the Anhui Association of Texas, Chinese American Women United Association, Fort Bend Chinese American Association, and the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association (APAPA).
J.J. has resided in Fort Bend County for 11 years. J.J. is the mother of a 13-year-old daughter who attends Fort Settlement Middle School. A true dog lover, J.J. is the proud owner of three lovely dogs, Angel, Simba and Athena. Angel is a Shih Tzu. Simba is a Puddle. And Athena is a Great Pyrenees. Two of them are adopted dogs, but they are cuties dogs and are the best family members.
